UPDATE: MAY 13, 2021

The US Centers for Disease Control and prevention guidelines advise that fully vaccinated people must still wear a mask in health care settings, transportation hubs such as airports and stations, and public transportation.

Update: July 25, 2020

The State of Minnesota has implemented a statewide mask mandate to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Effective July 25, 2020  Gov. Tim Walz issued an executive order for a mask mandate, which will require the wearing of a face mask inside indoor public places as well as businessesExceptions: Children under 5 years of age and individuals who have a medical condition that compromises their ability to breathe, and people who are unable to remove a face covering without assistance. These individuals should consider using alternatives to face coverings, including clear face shields.
